Clubeet — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14/07/2026 Effective date: 14/07/2026

The Clubeet mobile application (the "App"), a nightlife venue discovery and social app, is operated by Apostolos Verykios ("we", "us", "our"), an individual developer based in Greece. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, the legal bases on which we rely, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data.

Clubeet is operated from Greece (European Union). We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable national law.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Clubeet, we collect the following categories of personal data:

Account information. Your name (display name), email address, date of birth, gender, and profile photos, provided during registration and profile setup. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from that provider to create your account.

Location data. We use your location in two ways. While you are checked in to a venue, we use your precise (GPS) location on an ongoing basis — collected via a foreground service with a persistent notification — to confirm you are at the venue, show you to other users there, and detect when you leave so you can be automatically checked out. This stops the moment you check out. Separately, when you search for nearby venues or view Hot Places (a Premium feature), we request a single, one-time location fix to bias results to your area. This one-time fix is not stored and is not used to track your movements.

Messages. The text messages you send to and receive from other users through the in-app chat feature.

Photos and content moderation. Profile photos you upload are automatically scanned by an image-moderation service (Google Cloud Vision) to detect and block prohibited content (for example, nudity or violence) before the photo becomes visible to other users.

Reports and safety data. If you report another user or a piece of content, or block another user, we collect the report (including the reason and the reported content) and the block relationship, to operate our safety and moderation systems.

Device and notification data. A push-notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver notifications to your device, and technical device information (such as device model and operating system version) used to operate and secure the service.

Advertising identifiers. If you use the free version of the App, third-party advertising services (see Section 6) may access your device's advertising identifier and related data to serve and measure ads.

Usage data. Information about how you interact with the App, including check-in history and in-app activity, used to operate and improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal data to:

3. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data.

Other users. Your profile information (name, photos, bio, gender) is visible to other users checked in at the same venue. Messages you send are visible to the recipient. Your date of birth and email address are never shown to other users.

Service providers. We share data with providers who process it on our behalf to operate the service, under contractual data-protection obligations, including:

Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook Login). If you choose to sign in with Facebook, Meta handles that sign-in independently and shares your name, email address, and profile photo with us to create your account. Meta's own handling of your data is described in Meta's Privacy Policy.

Legal and safety. We may disclose data where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or Clubeet.

5. International Data Transfers

We store and process data primarily on Google Cloud infrastructure located in the European Union. However, our service providers (such as Google) are global organizations and may process limited data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where data is transferred outside the EEA, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Advertising and Third-Party Services

The free version of Clubeet displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may use device identifiers (including your advertising ID) and usage data to serve and measure advertising, including rewarded ads. Google's handling of this data is described in Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and its advertising documentation.

You can limit ad personalization through your device settings (for example, by resetting or opting out of your advertising ID), and you can remove ads entirely by subscribing to Clubeet Premium.

7. Location Data

Clubeet uses location data in two distinct ways.

While checked in. We use your precise (GPS) location on an ongoing basis, via a visible foreground service with a persistent notification, to confirm your presence at the venue and detect when you leave. We do not run continuous or background location tracking at any other time.

Nearby search. When you search for venues or refresh Hot Places (Premium), we request a single, one-time location fix to bias results to your area. This fix is used only for that search and is not stored or used to track your movements over time.

You can check out at any time to stop all ongoing location tracking, and you can revoke the location permission through your device settings at any time — doing so will also disable nearby search and Hot Places, since both rely on the same permission.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as you maintain an account. Specific practices include:

When you delete your account (Edit Profile > Delete Account), we permanently remove your profile information, photos, and messages, subject to limited data we are required or permitted to retain for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

9. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights over your personal data:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@clubeet.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.

10. Children

Clubeet is intended only for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a person under 18, we will delete it. If you believe a minor is using the App, please contact us.

11. Data Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, access controls on our backend, and server-side security rules. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of Clubeet after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Clubeet — Terms of Service

Last updated: 14/07/2026 Effective date: 14/07/2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Clubeet mobile application (the "App" or "Service"), operated by Apostolos Verykios ("Clubeet", "we", "us"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Clubeet, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Clubeet. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate information in your profile. You must not impersonate any other person or use misleading profile information.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

We operate automated content moderation and user reporting and blocking systems. Content or accounts that violate these rules may be removed or suspended.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, bio text). By uploading content, you grant Clubeet a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display it to other users as part of operating the service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content already shared with other users or that we are required to retain by law. We may remove content that violates these terms.

6. Safety

Clubeet is a tool for meeting people at venues. We do not conduct background checks on users and are not responsible for the conduct of any user. Use caution and good judgment when interacting with or meeting other users. If you feel unsafe, use the in-app block and report tools.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Clubeet offers an optional paid subscription ("Clubeet Premium") that removes advertisements and unlocks additional features. Subscriptions are billed through the Google Play Store and are subject to Google Play's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Google Play account settings. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices and features may change; we will give notice of material changes where required.

8. Advertising

The free version of Clubeet displays advertisements, and some features may require watching a rewarded advertisement to use them beyond a free allowance. By using the free version, you agree to the display of such advertisements.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Certain provisions of these Terms survive termination, including content licenses already granted to other users, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

10. Disclaimer

Clubeet is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy of user profiles or the behavior of other users. Use caution when meeting people through the app.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clubeet and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the service, including interactions with other users. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of Clubeet after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the competent courts of Greece, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

14. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us at support@clubeet.com.
